Made up Mind (Part II)

Theme: Made up Mind (Part II)

It’s easy at times to come up with an idea that seems “life-changing.” The hard part is putting that idea into effect and making it come to life.

As Christians, when we first heard the call of salvation to follow Christ, it seemed to us good at the time – a brand new way of life filled with joy, rest and complete satisfaction. As the journey unfolded however, we were faced with obstacles of various degrees. What seemingly seemed blissful, now became a literal war to the death.

**This morning, my scheduled getting up time was 6:30. This for me was a struggle. I did not actually arise until about 7:20. What finally yanked me from the sheets was the reminder of yesterday’s theme – having a made up mind. The result, not only did I get to see my son twice in the morning before he headed off to school, I also was able to pray for him as we walked through the door. Most importantly, I was able to sit and have that well needed quiet time before my Abba.

Point: It pays to have a made up mind.

“Do not copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2

**This post and the minute reminders each morning come to you from my journal entry of many years ago.

  1. It is hard to implement something new but if we start small they help not make us feel overwhelmed and over time we realise that we have indeed made changes for the better.
Enjoying these wonderful thoughts and reminders you are sharing sis 💙.

  2. Smiles. Words are indeed powerful, and able to get one off the faffing mode too. This happens to me too. It shoots right into you and you are like, now I really need to do this. 😀Thanks for sharing this message and thoughts with us, big sis. ❤

    1. Mercy, you have taught me something today – the faffing mode – thank you.

Yes, words can be like this for certain but with Abba, all things are possible. ❣️

    1. No worries, Dawn.
      I’m glad you got it.
I’m guilty of those hasty resolutions too. I’m trusting Abba on both our behalfs that we will make up our minds and follow through on the things which really matter 🙏🏽
