Thankful Tuesday’s (#10)- A Trip Down the Stairs

Today’s post comes from David.

I enjoy David’s writings not just because they are filled with ABBA’s truth (which is the best part), but because I’m always reminded of how much I need ABBA, and His Body.

For the past three weeks or so, the Lord has been ministering to me from Jeremiah 17:14, especially in the area of emotional hurt. David’s post has found a way to remind me (us) that this type of pain is real; and that others do need us, as we need them.

  1. Thanks for sharing this, Deandra!
I haven’t taken a ‘trip down the stairs’ in over a year, but still talk openly of my struggle with social anxiety and depression.
Somehow, we must remove the stigma surrounding those who struggle emotionally. If I had a bad back or a trick knee it wouldn’t be such a big deal, but occasional panic attacks and unexplainable depression are another story.
This double standard needs to go away.
    Blessings, sister!

    1. It’s my delight to share, David. Thank you for being bold to speak about these issues we all face from time to time. No one is always happy, we have days of sorrow and days of despair and it should be okay for us to talk about it, and sit/walk through it with others.
I completely agree, the double standard needs to go away. There should be no shame in saying we need a gauze for our hearts 😉
      His Shalom always 🙏🏽
