Thank Youuuuuuu

Throughout the course of this year, I’ve received many nominations for various awards. Many of my fellow teammates and family members on WordPress have participated in different awards and have generously nominated me as a way to show love and support.

I’ve seen them all and wanted to participate but doing an award response not only takes time (as you know), but it requires a mindset that, well, if not available makes doing a response robotic and even lackluster. I’ve always felt that whatever I did, especially where sharing words were concerned should be sincere and with joy.

A few awards I’ve been able to respond to from this platform (had a mental reprieve then) and a few I have responded to on the nominator’s page. I’ve had a few team members opting to not nominate me anymore (don’t blame you a bit), and a few that have consistently sent me invites. For both sets, I want to express my deepest gratitude.

Today, my family and I received some discouraging news. It left me reeling from shock and at one point, I found myself curled in a fetal position crying. I called my special friend who knew about the situation and with him I lay quiet for about an hour. He prayed, he sang, he read scripture over me, he spoke life into me, he encouraged me with both his love and with His (Abba’s) love, and, at one point, he just sat with me in silence. The combination of all the above made room for my heart to bounce back.

Holy Spirit uses good friends to pour into us. We just have to be willing to be vulnerable and transparent which is not always easy.

When the call ended, I went to wash my hair and shower. While in the shower, Holy Spirit reminded me of my family here through this platform who have stood with me during the different valleys and prayed over me faithfully. He also reminded me of the various awards I’ve been nominated for but was unable to participate. He nudged me to do this post and say THANK YOU.

So, in my long winded fashion…

Thank you everyone for your love and support.

Thank you for the comments, the likes and the nominations.

Thank you for the teasings, the gifts, the texts messages, the phone calls and videos.

Thank you for sharing His love with me, consistently.

Thank you for being His hands and feet.

Thank you for being vulnerable and transparent with me.

Thank you for inviting me into your respective worlds.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Love Dee

  4. My heart goes out to you. I am so sorry you had such devastating news. But, I am so glad you had the support of family and friends and the Holy Spirit to help you bounce back. It is in our most sorrowful moments that He sends the comfort we need and the assurance that we never are alone. Thank God! 5. Wanted to reply last night but felt it best to wait. Dee, you are so very precious to our Father. This trial, whatever it is, was set aside for you from the beginning of time. We do not know the why but we understand the purpose. His purpose is, through trials, to build into us the spirit and character of our Beloved. I see that in you Dee. Your expression of gratitude, in the midst of pain, shows that the lessons, though very hard, are doing a deep work of cleansing so Jesus can come forth. I see and hear Him in your words sister.

This season right now is one of unprecedented spiritual assault against all who are being prepared to be the Bride. You are not alone. That may not be a great deal of comfort in your specific trial but hopefully it will help you see that the much larger community of the Bride stands with you in that pain. We too have experienced some trauma of late and almost lost our pet bird. Satan is hellbent on attacking all who stand with Jesus right now and we must stand in faith, hope and love. You are doing that with your special friend and your Beloved. We have no idea just how long this season will last but hold on to Jesus.

Stand firm then and do not be dismayed. You are exactly where the Father wants you to be and He will make sure you endure to the end. You are very, very loved!

Blessings to you our dear sister,
    Homer and Wanda

    1. My heart was filled with comfort as I read this response today. I truly thank you. I even copied it and pasted in a notes section on my device so that I can go back to it and read it on days when it feels as heavy as it did yesterday.

I am really grateful that you did not lose your pet bird, I can’t imagine that grief…at all.

I’m sorry about the trauma you’ve had to experience of late too, whew, just seeing a glimpse from time to time in your story speaks to having dealt with a lot.

Can I say though, that I’m glad you have suffered? It sounds harsh to those who would never understand but I know you know where my heart is when I say it. The suffering has produced in you such purity, such strength of character, such wisdom, such zeal for all things Abba, such patience and humility, such gentleness and grace, such insight, such hope and joy…it has yielded an understanding to fellow sufferers (like myself) that is unparalleled to any response one could have given.

He suffered so He could be acquainted with our griefs. I’m grateful that we get to suffer so we can be acquainted with griefs of our fellow co-laborers.

My deepest gratitude and always love to my Homer and Wanda.

      1. I have to say you brought this old man to tears today with this comment Dee. We are so honored and humbled by your reply, and encouraged too. Thank you that you have seen real value in the suffering we have endured. We too are glad for the suffering and the value it brings. It doesn’t sound harsh but like a cup of cold water to a thirsty person in the desert.

Frankly, sitting alone in this motel room day after day sometimes I really wonder if there has been a change. We do see what Jesus has done for us but since we have no physical contact with other people we cannot see what they see in us. What little we share online seems to me a mere shadow, something easily mist ;). Your words help dispel that fog and help us see what we cannot.

We thank you for your kind and sincere words. You have done more to help us than I feel we may have been some value to you. I wish we could give you a hug dear sister. May the Lord bring us together someday where we can praise our Beloved together.

Blessings my dear, and may our Father bring you the richest blessing of all.

        1. Amen!!!
Many many many many many many hugs to both of you!
My life has been enriched because you both are in it!
I cannot imagine being “locked away” from those around and uncertain of the brightness of His light to the one and two you may come upon from time to time. That’s a whole other wilderness experience I have not been made privy to experience. My sweet friend has though and he has shared with me that as difficult as it has been been isolated and kept away from luxuries such as WiFi or a mobile phone or even having resources to pull from, God has been His teacher in every conceivable way. He has shared that he would never trade a day of the sorrow or suffering because that has caused him to become familiar with ABBA’s voice, and His heart. That trade off I believe is absolutely worth it.

Where you both are now, is where the Lord has deliberately placed you. I believe Yahweh is Sovereign and so where He places us is no coincidence. Some get stripped of everything, others, just a portion. He knows just the degree of the furnace we each need, and the degree of breaking that we must endure.

I told someone today that since being put into the proverbial fire, I’ve found that I have a special attraction to broken people, she shared with me that she’s the same way going further to describe herself as a cracked pot and sharing that in Asia, they break the pots and put them back together with gold lining.

I’d like to think of you both like that. Being melded with His gold that is lasting and that shines in the Son. You both have been refreshing to drink from, a delight to have a meal from.

I give God thanks that you have become a drink offering Abba has poured out that weary travelers as myself can drink from, especially on really parched days.

I am confident that the Lord will brings us together in this life, He doesn’t waste events as these and I know someday soon, doors will open our feet will pitter-patter through.

My love to you both, and a special kiss I add to your cheeks. He who calls us, is FAITHFUL.

  6. Even in the midst of troubles, sorrows, and loss, His loving provision remains. In this instance your friend used worship as warfare, and comforted you with his presence. Philippians 1:3, is a true favorite, it’s a reminder of how fortunate we are to be in family and community. God loves you Dee, and so do we ♥

    1. Beverly, I love this phrase you coined, “ashes of despair”…Yes! I’m very very thankful for this gift. Not many people exert the patience to sit in the ashes despair. Thank you for your continued love, prayer and support always my sister.

      1. I could relate to your post because I was in that state once, but God provided a friend to sit with me in the ashes of despair. I also wrote a post with that title, where I poured out my heart. Those words are from Job’s time of trouble when his three friends joined him in the ashes. God promised to be present in the midst of trouble. Blessings again.

  12. Dee, that was very sweet. I am sorry you had some bad news. I hope you are now comforted with God’s love. I do know that doing awards does take time. I don’t accept them all, only if I feel the Holy Spirit prompting me to because he wants to use it for his glory. But, I am always thankful to those who nominate me, just because they thought to nominate me for the award. I am very appreciative.

I am happy for you that you have so many encouragers here. This is such a blessing to have this Christian blogging family.

    1. Awwwww, thanks Sue. I give God thanks for having taken over my fingers in this post. I really had no intention of sharing the pain I felt but Holy Spirit has a way to take over, especially when we daily surrender.

I agree, it is an absolute blessing to have this community of believers. It is a great extension of our Daddy’s love 🤗

  14. Isn’t it amazing how the invisible support of prayer does indeed hold us up! My prayer is: in the days since you posted, you’ve already seen evidence of God at work and circumstances have already changed for the better.

    1. Ah! The invisible support of prayer certainly holds up, and manifests itself as being very visible, Nancy. Yes, I have truly seen God manifest and used unexpected folks in miraculous ways. The process for what is being prayed for has not completed but my sister, it is underway by the grace of Abba. Thank you for your continued support and prayers always 🤗❤️

  15. The fact that you are willing to listen and ingest advice from others is a sure sign of contrition. While reading your description of your pain, I actually ‘saw’ you curled up in a fetus position. Precious, I can only imagine how that news effected you. Is it time to seek counseling? Your reports of being down hearted have filtered through your blogs for some months, now. Are our well-wishes enough to sustain you. I feel helpless. Yes, I’m approaching the throne of grace on your behalf, but a professional could advise you on how to receive troubling news. Then your followers could pray you through. “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ Name.”

    1. On Christ the Solid Rock we will continue to stand for all other grounds are sinking sands. I’m all for counseling, especially when dealing with issues that are overwhelming. I believe the Lord has given us both professional counselors to help us deal with life stressors along with friends and support groups that help us as well. When I share my heart here, the Lord blesses me with wonderful friends who pray me through, send me encouragement offline and like you, who give me a check to say “Child of mine, are you sure you’re okay and doing everything to be?” ☺️

Thank you for never ceasing to bring me before Abba, Mother Fowler. That to me is worth more than even silver and gold. This light affliction I endure, is working far is but for a moment, worketh for me (us) a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

      Love to you always.
